| Friday, February 4, 2005 Meeting Topic:Requirements: Bridging the Gap Between Systems Engineering and Software Engineering
Abstract Join us in contributing to the Southern CA/LA SPIN survey of "What does it take in the real world to make good software?" We are often contacted by other SPINs to discuss our experience in solving problems that occur during implementing various aspects of software improvement. As a community, we have a considerable amount of experience that we would like to share with other SPINs to develop a consolidated set of best practices to allow pro-active rather than reactive approach to developing good software. SPIN will conduct the next several meetings in a discussion format with moderators to facilitate audience participation. Based on the discussions we will identify and prioritize the characteristics required to create good software. We will have flip charts and note takers so that the discussion can be captured for review. Feb. 4, 2005 - Open Discussion Requirements: Bridging the Gap Between Systems Engineering and Software Engineering SoCal SPIN plans an open discussion (audience participation) February 4. There will be a facilitator, flip charts, and note takers so that the discussion can be captured for review. The January meeting enjoyed a lively group discussion about requirements, and we decided to continue that discussion in February with a focus on bridging the gap between systems and software engineering. If you wish to receive email flyers of future meetings please send a blank email, with a subject line of "subscribe" to: spin@uces.csulb.edu SoCal
